QUESTIONS · ANSWERED

Fire Pits & Features questions, answered.

Wood-burning or gas — which lasts longer?

Both can last 25+ years if built right. Gas is lower-maintenance; wood-burning has a stronger ambiance trade-off.

Do I need a permit?

Wood-burning pits usually no. Gas-fed features require gas-line permits in DuPage County and most municipalities — we file them.

How big should it be?

Most residential pits are 36"–48" outside diameter with 6–8 feet of paver circulation. We design to the yard.

Can it integrate with my patio?

Yes — most fire features get designed alongside or after the patio. Same Unilock paver line, seamless integration.

How long does install take?

Standalone fire pit: 3–5 days. With patio integration: schedule with the patio build.
